June 25 - Gowrie Area Arts Council -  East Side Jazz Team to perform at 7:30 pm at the Betty Nyght Hamilton Bandshell.

 

June 26 - Jonathan Richard Crily and Janet Clazzy will be performing music and monolog at the United Methodist Church at 7:00 pm.

 

June 27 - Garden Walk

Zion Lutheran Church will be hosting a garden tour on Saturday, June 27 - 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $8 with proceeds going to Ilembula Lutheran Hospital in Tanzania for washers and dryers. You will be able to tour the gardens at the following homes: Monte Albert, Kris Cathcart, Cindy Fevold, Greta Jansa, Pauline Johnson, Jeff Kruse, Colleen Palmer, and Norm and Phyllis Peterson. Tickets will be available from any of these people or the day of the tour at Colleen Palmer's home. In case of rain, the date will be Sunday, June 28 - 1:00 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Prairie View Golf & Grill has daily lunch specials.

Tuesday night is ladies night, Wednesday night is men's league and Friday night is couples golf.  Couples may bring their own meat to grill.  (Golfers are out on the course from 6 - 9 pm and the clubhouse is open for supper on those evenings.)

 

Prairie View will be open all day for lunch on the 4th of July.

Summer Reading Program

The summer reading program is being held Tuesday mornings throughout the month of June.  The theme this year is Be Creative at your Library.  Children ages 3 through 4th grade are encouraged to attend.

 

 

Yard of the Week

Yard of the WeekThe Gowrie Development Commission sponsors Yard of the Week during June, July and August to recognize those residents of Gowrie that take pride in keeping their yard neat and well kept.
