June 12 & 13 - Gowrie Garage Sale Days!  Contact Gayle Rabbitt for more information.  There will be over 40 sales throughout Gowrie during that time!!  Click Here for a list of sales (as of Monday.)

 

Not prepared to have a garage sale?  Dollars for Scholars will be accepting gently used items for their garage sale at the High School.  You may drop off your items thru the 12th at the High School shop area between  8 and 10:30 am.  They will have a bake sale during the garage sale!  If interested in providing baked goods, please bring items Saturday morning - we also need volunteers to help work during the garage sale - Dollars for Scholars hours will be given to any high school students that help. Contact Jenny Taylor or Julie McLean for more information. 

 

June 21 - Share Your Talent Evening
5:00 pm at Zion Lutheran Church.  Homemade ice-cream, hot dogs, burgers, bars and drinks.  Free Will Offering to go to Stephen Ministry and youth group programs.  This special night is open to everyone!  Contact 352-3645 or 352-3612 for more information.

 

June 27 - Garden Walk

Zion Lutheran Church will be hosting a garden tour on Saturday, June 27 - 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $8 with proceeds going to Ilembula Lutheran Hospital in Tanzania for washers and dryers. You will be able to tour the gardens at the following homes: Monte Albert, Kris Cathcart, Cindy Fevold, Greta Jansa, Pauline Johnson, Jeff Kruse, Colleen Palmer, and Norm and Phyllis Peterson. Tickets will be available from any of these people or the day of the tour at Colleen Palmer's home. In case of rain, the date will be Sunday, June 28 - 1:00 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Summer Reading Program

The summer reading program is being held Tuesday mornings throughout the month of June.  The theme this year is Be Creative at your Library.  Children ages 3 through 4th grade are encouraged to attend.

 

If you have not yet seen it, check out the Gowrie web site sponsored by the Gowrie Development Commission at www.gowrie.org.  Many activies for the 4th of July are being added!
