A World Day of Prayer service will be held at the Gowrie United Methodist Church on Friday, March 5 at 9 a.m. "World Day of Prayer" is a worldwide movement of Christian women of many traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer each year, and who, in many countries, have a continuing relationship in prayer and service. Everyone is invited to attend. |

Several vendors braved the cold temperature showing arts, crafts, purses, jewelry, metal sculptures and more!
Just down the street the Gowrie Public Library had their Annual Fall Book and Bake Sale!!

The Gowrie Development Commission sponsored a chili lunch with proceeds donated to the Gowrie Volunteer Fire Department. Thanks to the Kensington Club, Xi Eta Sigma, McCubbin Landscaping and Farm Bureau for their donations to help provide the meal! |
 
The Gowrie Volunteer Fire Department kicked off Fire Prevention Week with rides on a firetruck and smoke house. They also sponsored water fights with fire departments from Gowrie, Callender and Moorland participating.
