The Gowrie Development Commission is excited to announce our Second annual Christmas Parade, Light Display, and Tree Lighting Ceremony. We invite you to participate in the most exciting celebration for our community! We hope you will join us as we celebrate the Spirit of the holidays.

This year we will have a kids zone starting at 4:00 pm with lots of fun activities. The parade is scheduled for 6:00 pm. It is free of charge to place an entry in the parade and/or a light display in the park for our Hometown Christmas Festival. We invite entries from Individuals, Families, Businesses, Organizations, Churches, and Schools. Please get in touch with us if you would like to provide food or organize a fundraising activity booth.

 

To participate, complete a form and return it to GDC, PO Box 415, Gowrie, IA 50543, or drop it off at Heartland Bank, Security Savings Bank, or The Picket Fence before November 14th, 2025. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email the GDC at gowrie@wccta.net.
