How Does It Work?

In the event of an emergency or severe weather, an alert will be sent to the phone number provided by voice, text, email and/or pager. 

This is a free service provided by Webster County, IA, however, normal message fees may apply. To receive text messages to your cell phone, your cell phone must have text messaging capabilities. Notifications are dependent upon external providers and Webster County, IA cannot guarantee notifications will be received by the intended recipient. 

Alerts sent from WEBSTER Alerts will originate from 69310 for text messages and (515) 555-0911 for phone calls. Please be sure to save these in your phone book.

Reserve A Park For Your Get-together!

If you would like to reserve a park location please contact the Gowrie City Clerk at 515-352-3999 in advance with the date and park you wish to reserve.  There is no charge for use of shelters but you can reserve one for a special occasion.

CITY PARK

Consists of a kitchen, bathrooms, play equipment and open shelters.

     Kitchen with bathroom - $75.00

     Kitchen - $50.00

     Bathroom - $25.00

     All options require a $25.00 deposit that will be refunded as long as you leave it clean

     and return the keys.

LAUREL PARK

Consists of an open shelter, portable toilet, play equipment, disc golf course as well as tennis, pickle ball, basketball and horse shoe courts, plus located right by the Gowrie Swimming Pool.

BROCKETT PARK

Consists of an open shelter, bathrooms, portable toilet, play equipment, basketball court, batting cage, and a ball diamond.

     Bathroom access $25.00

     Requires a $25.00 deposit that will be refunded as long as you leave it clean

     and return the keys.
